Flor Ana Mireles is a writer, poet, singer, and creative born in Bauta, Cuba, and raised in Miami, FL. Flor is often spending time with loved ones or in nature, and always trying to find the light for love and life. She loves to read, travel, listen to music, and will occasionally play interior design games on her phone.
Flor is the lead singer of South Florida alternative/classic rock band Leather & Lace and has been singing her heart out with the band since she was 13 years old. Flor graduated from Nova Southeastern University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication (Journalism) and minors in English (Literature) and Marketing, where she was the copy editor of the school paper, The Current, for three years. Flor has also been the Editor in Chief of Toronto publishing company Life to Paper Publishing, and is currently the Editor in Chief of Indie Earth Publishing.
When Flor is not writing or singing, she is traveling, reading, rollerblading, or enjoying delicious food and drinks. She does not drink coffee and enjoys spending her time making others smile.
Flor is active on Instagram, often posting her poetry or glimpses into her life and her work. Her mission is to inspire others through her works, whether auditorily or in writing, and wants others to know that they are capable of achieving their wildest dreams. She has, thus far, authored three poetry collections, Perspective (and other poems), The Language of Fungi & Flowers, and Nourish Your Temple. She has also edited and written a short story for the anthology Stories From The Forest: 10 Stories of Nature, Love, Loss, and Life as well as poems for the poetry anthology The Spell Jar: Poetry for the Modern Witch. Flor continues to write and is currently working on new books.
